Embark on a scenic road trip from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. Witness breathtaking desert landscapes and towering red rock formations along the way. Unforgettable natural beauty awaits at Zion.
For the last couple of years we’ve enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and then taking brief roadtrips from there to visit state and national parks throughout Nevada, Arizona and Southern Utah. Last Fall, we rented a car from a car rental company at the Bellagio Hotel where we stayed then embarked on a breathtaking journey from Las Vegas to Zion National Park, immersing ourselves in the stunning natural beauty of this iconic destination. The most striking views in the park that left us in awe were the towering sandstone cliffs of Angel's Landing and the emerald pools of Zion Canyon.
Venturing off the beaten path, we discovered the serene beauty of Hidden Canyon and the tranquil atmosphere of Kolob Canyons, where we found peace away from the crowds.
Indulging in a local sweet treat, we savored the delicious flavors of homemade prickly pear ice cream, a delightful and refreshing dessert. Pairing it with a classic local cocktail called the Zion Sunset, made with local spirits and a blend of fruity flavors, was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration.
Emerald Pools Trail - Zion
Discover the stunning beauty of Zion National Park by hiking the iconic Emerald Pools Trail. This moderate hike offers captivating views of lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant emerald pools that are a sight to behold. Immerse yourself in nature's beauty as you wander through towering red rock canyons and feel the peaceful serenity that surrounds you. Don't miss the chance to experience the magic of Zion's pristine landscapes on this unforgettable trail adventure.
When visiting Zion National Park Lodge, make sure to stop by the cafe and restaurant for a delicious meal and refreshing ice cream after a long hike. The stunning views and cozy atmosphere will make your dining experience unforgettable.
For a rejuvenating experience, we highly recommend booking a wellness retreat after several long days of hiking at the luxurious Spa at Red Mountain Resort. There you’ll be pampered with revitalizing treatments amidst the serene desert landscape.
Our stay at UnderCanvas Zion exceeded all expectations, offering a unique and upscale glamping experience that perfectly complemented our nature-filled adventure.
To culminate our unforgettable trip, we dined at the highly-rated Switchback Grille, enjoying a culinary journey of upscale Southwestern cuisine that perfectly captured the essence of the region.
