Christmas - Chicago’s Miracle Mile for the holidays, best spas and local cuisine
Miracle Mile Shopping - Loew's Hotel Chicago - Rick Bayless’s Topolobampo - Starbucks Reserve Roasters
Spending a long winter weekend on Chicago's Miracle Mile was nothing short of enchanting. The sparkle of Christmas decorations lit up the streets, creating a magical atmosphere perfect for shopping and exploration. Our choice of accommodation, the luxurious Loews Chicago Hotel, couldn't have been better. With its modern amenities and stunning views of the city skyline, the warmth of the hospitality made it the perfect winter retreat. The in-house spa was a delightful treat after long days of shopping. The stunning warm indoor lap pool at Loews features beautiful views of the city from serene atmosphere, making it the ultimate city escape.
One culinary highlight was our dinner at Topolobampo , Rick Bayless's renowned Mexican restaurant. We love all the Rick Bayless restaurants in Chicago but are epecially fond of the The Seven Moles Of Oaxaca on the menu (you simply have to eat there to understand!) The vibrant setting was matched by a diverse menu bursting with flavor. The attentive staff added to the experience, making our hearty meal truly enjoyable.
We warmed up during a mid-morning break between shopping at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Chicago - only one of six of its kind in the entire world! Unlike other Starbucks, this expansive space showcases the coffee-making process, with expert baristas crafting unique blends right before your eyes. It’s a perfect escape to refuel between shopping sprees, offering a selection of beverages that range from artisanal lattes to decadent coffees brewed in innovative ways. It also boasts a mesmerizing 5 story spiraling escalator!
With each moment spent in this vibrant part of the city, from luxury accommodations to delightful dining, Chicago’s Miracle Mile proved to be an exceptional winter getaway.
